D 41, 2462–2471 (1990)Unified cosmologyReceived 26 June 1987; revised 16 January 1990; published in the issue dated 15 April 1990 Recently a unified cosmology was proposed as a higher-dimensional generalization of the standard big-bang cosmology. In this paper we discuss its foundation, characteristics, and possible cosmological solutions in detail. In particular we discuss how the missing-mass problem, the horizon problem, and the flatness problem of the standard model can be resolved within the context of this unified cosmology. © 1990 The American Physical Society URL:
