We report results from a direct search for τ-→φh-ντ(h-=π-or K-) using 3.1 fb-1 of data collected with the CLEO II detector. We find model-dependent upper limits on the branching fractions in the range B(τ-→φπ-ντ)<(1.2-2.0)×10-4 and B(τ-→φK-ντ)<(5.4-6.7)×10-5 at 90% confidence level.
