Phys. Rev. D 56, 3568–3570 (1997)Quantum correction to the thermodynamical entropy of a black holeSee Also: Erratum Received 21 November 1996; revised 22 April 1997; published in the issue dated 15 September 1997 The entropy of a black hole can differ from a quarter of the area of the horizon because of quantum corrections. The correction is related to the contribution to the Euclidean functional integral from quantum fluctuations but is not simply equal to the correction to the effective action. A (2+1)-dimensional rotating black hole is explicitly considered. © 1997 The American Physical Society URL:
