D 63, 044007 (2001) [5 pages]Exact solution for (2+1)-dimensional critical collapseReceived 10 August 2000; published 18 January 2001 We find an exact solution in closed form for the critical collapse of a scalar field with a cosmological constant in 2+1 dimensions.
