D 76, 104011 (2007) [10 pages]Thermodynamical model for nonextremal black p-braneReceived 31 December 2006; revised 27 August 2007; published 8 November 2007 We show that the correct entropy, temperature (and absorption probability) of nonextremal black p-brane can be reproduced by a certain thermodynamical model when maximizing its entropy. We show that the form of the model is related to the geometrical similarity of nonextremal and near extremal black p-brane at near horizon region, and argue about the appropriateness of the model. © 2007 The American Physical Society URL:
