Phys. Rev. D 76, 086003 (2007) [5 pages]Deconfinement phase transition in holographic QCD with matterReceived 4 July 2007; published 22 October 2007 In the framework of a holographic QCD approach we study the influence of matter on the deconfinement temperature Tc. We first consider the quark flavor number (Nf) dependence of Tc. We observe that Tc decreases with Nf, which is consistent with a lattice QCD result. We also delve into how the quark number density ρq affects the value of Tc. We find that Tc drops with increasing ρq. In both cases, we confirm that the contributions from quarks are suppressed by 1/Nc, as it should be, compared to the ones from a gravitational action (pure Yang-Mills theory). © 2007 The American Physical Society URL:
