It is observed that in a theory where CP violation is introduced through phase angles between vector and axial-vector currents the relation η+-=η00 is exact if φ=-ξ, without the assumption of soft pions. φ and ξ are the phase angles for the strangeness-preserving and strangeness-changing currents, respectively.
